I have so much respect for my Grandmother Antoinette Scutti/Ceasare. She was way a head of her time. She
had so much courage, determination and love of spirit.
This picture was taken in Italy 1906.
Pop Scutti, was killed by a snake in South America,
hours before he was to board a ship with his family, headed for America. He was headed for a new life. He brought his family to South American to work on a
coffee plantation to earn money to get to the United States.
When Pop Scutti was killed, Antoinette Scutti headed back to Italy until some years later she was able to
reach the United States. There she met Grandpa Ceasare, fell in love, married and had four more children, my mother was one of them. Antoinette was blessed with nine children,
a loving family. They became a family of one. She was blessed. They carved out a life of hard work, love of family, of church, family values and traditions.
My mother's family came from the Roma area. They were Romans.
